Waynesboro-Burke Concert Series is a community supported volunteer organization whose purpose is to support and strengthen the role of arts in the area. Through providing quality productions by renowned musicians and entertainers as well as showcasing regional talent, the concert series is proud to offer cultural experiences to the community that otherwise may be exclusive to metropolitan areas.

The Concert Series, originally part of the Community Concert Association, was founded in 1979 by the Town and Country Women’s Club and has since been a cultural life-line of the local community and surrounding counties. In 2003, reorganization occurred and the name was changed to reflect the city and county. Waynesboro-Burke Concert Series, Inc. is under the governance of a sixteen member all volunteer Board of Directors.

Season tickets are sold at a nominal cost and individuals as well as businesses and corporations are approached personally for their support. As we believe in the importance of developing future arts patrons, outreach performances, when feasible, are presented in the schools. Children (17 & under) are free with a paid adult.

Concert audiences include patrons from Burke, Jenkins, Jefferson, Screven, Washington and Richmond counties. A reciprocity agreement between Washington County Concert Association (Sandersville) and Waynesboro has existed for many years. In recent years the Greater Augusta Arts Council has served as a collaborative arts resource by providing concert publicity, program development and assisting with on-line tickets. Membership in the Georgia Arts Network began in 2008 and we collaborate with Georgia Presenters.

The Waynesboro-Burke Concert Series is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
